Czech Festival in Yukon

Saturday, October 6th - Craig and I took the kids and Nana Delo to the Czech Festival in Yukon. We watched the parade, listened to the Polka music and ate some Kolache. We also found Great Bobbie and Doddie (Ed & Henrietta) in the Czech building volunteering their time selling Kolache. We had a fun time participating in our Czech heritage.

Here's Jack eating his yummy lemon kolache. He actually only ate the bread around the outside and avoided the lemon filling.

Great Doddie (Ed) in his Czech attire with Maggie.

Day at the park - Sept 26th

Maggie enjoyed a day at the park with her good friend, Charlotte. Jack and Abby also attended.

Crossings Church Friendship Dinner - Sept 25

Scrabble Divas...I had a great time decorating this Scrabble table with my good friend Susy at the Friendship Dinner. We had scrabble tile napkin rings, bible verses typed in scrabble font, and scrabble tile sugar cookies. We even spelled out spiritual words on the letter holders. We are soooo creative...thanks Susy.

More Fair photos Sept 22.

More Fair photos...Craig actually looks like he's enjoying himself. We also visited my mom and her Stockyard's Mercantile booth at the fair

The Frog Hopper at the Fair 9/22

There's really no need to explain these photos...Jack's face says it all. Jack said he never wants to do that again.

Fair Sept. 21

Jack got Superman painted on his face. He rode the big tractors and the little tractors.

Farmer Jack at the Fair - Sept. 21

jack enjoyed being a farmer at the fair. His favorite part was the sand.

State Fair - Sept. 21

I'm embarrassed to say I attended the fair three times during the week that it was here. Once with Maggie, once with Jack and the entire family went on Saturday with our friends, the Logans...even Craig, the "fair snob" went!

Cowboy Jack at The Cherokee Strip Celebration

According to Jack the pony's name was ironically "Jack".erokee Strip celebration. You can tell he really enjoyed himself.

Cherokee Strip Parade

We had a great time watching the parade with Nana Delo and our friends, Scott, Charity, Bryce and Olive.

Cherokee Strip Celebration & Land Run - Enid

Last Friday and Saturday we went to Enid for the Cherokee Strip Celebration and 5K run.

We went to the Homecoming football game Friday night. Jack and Maggie really enjoyed it. Jack enjoyed the popcorn, sprite and m&ms.

Saturday I ran the 5K in 29mins,18 seconds. According to the Enid paper, I placed 9th in my age division for the women. According to a friend, whom was MCing, I placed 3rd and got a trophy. She said they called my name to come up and get my trophy but I had already left. Anyhoo...it was quite an accomplishment for me.

Land Run Saturday in Enid

I will be running in the Great Land Run this Saturday in Enid at 7:30am. It's part of the Cherokee Strip celebration. This will be my 1st 5K (3.2 miles) The race will go down Maine Street, starting at the Boomer Statue at the Cherokee strip conference center. We will probably go to the parade afterward. I will update my blog with photos after the race. Wish me luck!

OU Football Game

We went with our friends, Troy and Jill, to the OU/Miami game last Saturday. I've never been to an OU game before. I loved the band and the drum major. The game was very exciting too! We sat on the 40 yd. line, 9 rows from the field. Thanks to Troy, we had great seats! It only rained about 5 mins. It was very hot and sunny the rest of the game. Afterward we ate at Boulevard Steakhouse in Edmond. It was the best steak I've ever had. I think I gained about 5 lbs.

A big thanks to Nana(Delo) for watching the kids that day! I know Jack and Maggie had a fun day too.

Peek-a-boo Maggie!

Maggie likes playing in Jack's rocket ship box. Jack and I decorated a cardboard box to look like a rocket ship...I think Maggie likes it more than Jack.

Sir Jack the Knight

Yesterday, Jack, Maggie and I went to a garage sale that had lots of neat stuff. Jack was especially excited when he found this Knight costume. One of his favorite movies is "Shrek #2". His favorite part is when the Knight rides his horse in the beginning.
